How the Bear Fail Safe Controller (FSC) and Bear Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) function:
- Most electric actuators will typically fail in last position
- All actuator outputs from RTU are routed through the FSC controller.
- Can control up to 8 actuators.
- When the FSC is paired with the Bear UPS the FSC will supply power to the actuators if it detects any power disruption and controls a fail-safe shut down.
- The FSC can also optionally monitor the RTU’s health, to determine if something is wrong.
